Try taking a float trip down one of the best trout streams in the Northeast, the Upper Connecticut River. The area I cover is from West Stewartstown, NH to Bloomfield, VT. There is an excellent cold water fishery here, the majority of which are wild fish. I also offer Float trips on the Connecticut River 100 miles to the south, from Wilder Dam to the Windsor-Cornish covered bridge. This beautiful sixteen mile section has an excellent Smallmouth Bass Fishery. They are hard fighting and high jumping with most fish averaging two pounds or better. This is bigger water here with a different character than up north. The scenery is still beautiful and the wild life is abundant, which includes mature bald eagles. My passion is and always will be trout fishing but what a refreshing change it is to pursue these hard hitting Smallmouth bass.
The White River is a beautiful freestone stream, here in Vermont. She has a good population of Rainbow and Brown Trout, as well as Smallmouth Bass in the lower sections. It is always a pleasure for me to spend a day wading the White River. I am a courteous, patient professional licensed-registered fishing guide specializing in Fly Fishing and light spinning for trout and Smallmouth Bass. All equipment and incidentals are included. Just bring yourselves and be ready to have a good time. Of course if you have equipment you are comfortable with, by all means bring it. The boat we use is a Smoker McKenzie Drift Boat which is very safe, stable and comfortable with padded seating and back support. It is a Cadillac of Drift Boats. As a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America of Hyde Park, NY. I am able to make available impressive delicious streamside lunches.
